I am very happy to see you in the campus of Smt. Pushpatai Hiray Arts, Science & Commerce Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Malegaon Camp. Our institution Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir has been known for its quality education and the education for masses. Our college caters not only to the excellence but also overall personality development of the students. In any case , the ultimate aim of the education is to make a person knowledgeable and well informed and offer her some life skills so that one can earn one's livelihood. In various academic programmes, we create not only more graduates but impart academic quality, sustainable personality and social responsibility amongst students.

Smt. Pushpatai Hiray Mahila Mahavidyalaya has been established in June 1990 by Honb'le Samajshree Prashantdada Hiray. His to the goal has to impart educational facility to the girls from rural and minority. The college has been doing well in providing such quality education to the girls enrolled. The various programmes undertaken assert the importance of the empowerment of women. 1344 students have been enrolled in the academic year2012-13. Our college is the only college in the jurisdiction of University of Pune providing education in the subject Music at Post Graduate level.

As a Principal of the college I am proud to say that the year 2013-14 was a year of NAAC reaccreditation. The NAAC peer team of Bangalore visited our college on 17th , 18th and 19th Feburuy 2014 for quality inspections of the college regarding teaching learning, research and consultancy and students support etc. The committee was headed by Professor H. C. Trivedi (Bhavnager University, Gujrat),Prof. Snajukta Bhatachary (West Bengal) and Dr. V. Sujata [ Womens College Tiruchilapalli, Chhenai, Tamlilnadu ]. They gave a positive remark about the quality and progress of the college and were satisfied. Prior to this visit the college had organised a national seminar on "Women Empowerment". Besides this a forgener named Prof Chung Yen Jhony from Singapore visited the college and had interaction with the staff and the students. The year 2014-15 is to be celebrated as silver jubilee year. During this academic year the college has planned the following activities.

  • To organized international, national level, state level conferences and seminars.
  • To organized All India Inter University Netball competitions for Women.
  • To organized workshop on organic farming and vermiculture for the farmers in Malegaon region.
  • Participation of students in Avishkar science Exhibition.
